“You Are Still Young” Campaign to Raise Awareness against Early Marriage NFRD-

Daam ( Support) Project Daam Project of NFRD launched an awareness campaign against early marriage under the slogan “You Are Still Young, Your Future Matters”. The campaign was held in Al Zahira in Damascus, Sehnaya and Al Hussainieh in Rural Damascus and Sweida and included various activities.

One of the activities that was held in Al Zahira was “The Messages Box””. Women were given the chance to share comments, stories, opinions, and pieces of advice anonymously. The messages were shared with the beneficiaries in Al Zahira WGSS, and some of which were posted on social media.

The Zahira WGSS also held a debate under the topic “This Council Believes That Early Mrriage Is A Crime to discuss the pros and cons of early marriage. The debate was attended by a number of beneficiaries from Nour WGSS and women from the local community.
